2.1.2. Browser Settings for Customized Service

To provide customized service, the browser places a data packet, known as a cookie, on the Customer’s computer and reads it during subsequent visits. If the browser sends back a previously saved cookie, the service provider can link the user’s current visit with previous ones, but only in terms of its own content.

2.1.3. Harmless Nature of Cookies

Cookies do not harm the end device, contain viruses, trojans, or other harmful software. Cookies always contain information created in connection with the end device used for the specific purpose, but do not directly identify the Customer.

2.1.4. Managing Cookies

By adjusting the browser settings, the Customer can ensure that no cookies are placed on their end device at any time. The help function in most web browsers explains how to prevent the browser from accepting new cookies; how to instruct the browser to notify upon the arrival of a new cookie; and how to delete and block existing cookies.

2.2. Duration of Data Processing
